Go back in time to 17th century England with The Highwayman. This piece is based on the story of William Davis, the notorious highwayman in Surrey, England. You can imagine the soft clattering of hooves in the distance as the piece begins, getting closer as the music crescendos with each subsequent entry. The energetic melody then emerges and the piece begins in earnest. Perfect for an immediate ensemble, The Highwayman provides interest and challenges in all parts. It’s sure to become a favourite!
